Greetings friends,

Thanks for stopping by my site. It's been a dream of mine for several years now to walk across the country; seeing the sights, meeting the people, and really just experiencing what is the essence of America. I'm thankful that I now have that opportunity. I kind of figure this is my last chance to do this gracefully. Well, at least I can probably get away with it, anyway. Still being in my twenties, people might chalk it up to me being out there finding myself or something. I figure the moment that I turn thirty I immediately become a shiftless hobo not fulfilling his role in society. So anyway, I hope that this site helps us keep in touch. I plan to post photos regularly, keep a blog, grow an awesome beard, and hopefully provide a link to an interactive map. You can even think of it as your own virtual walk-along - only without all the sweat, and blisters, and living in a puddle of your own mire.

About The Walk

The plan is to bus to Portland, Maine, arriving early the morning of May 5th, then hike a few miles to the coast, at Cape Elizabeth. That's about it. I don't really have an agenda. I don't want to feel constrained by a schedule. I just want to see what happens. I plan on walking mostly backroads and visiting mostly small towns, and I look forward to meeting my brothers and sisters in Christ at every opportunity.
